![]() This webinar is a precursor to the Maps in Stata 2 online short-course which will take place on the 25th February 2022. Data and replication files will be provided in an online repository. The webinar assumes that participants have basic knowledge, and familiarity with Stata commands. This lecture should also provide them with the ability to generate maps from their own data projects. Other aspects like map customization, including adjusting color schemes, fonts, and legends will also be discussed.Īt the end of this lecture, participants will have the know-how on how to independently produce basic maps. Participants will learn how to import shapefiles in Stata, and use Stata commands to make choropleth or heat maps. In this lecture, participants will go over different spatial data types (points, polylines, polygons), and discuss map projections. This introductory hands-on webinar is ideal for those who are learning, or interested in, spatial visualizations of data and would like to jump right in. This one hour lecture aims to be a comprehensive introduction to the basics of making maps in Stata. ![]()
